Mu~~~ or Moo~~ Burger?

Recently, a friend of mine from Phuket came to Kuala Lumpur for a 2 days training course. Since she brought me around when I was in Phuket, its PAYBACK time. So we met up at KLCC and after taking a few photos with her and the twin towers, we went to SS15's Asia Cafe for dinner.

After dinner, we were talking about the time I had in Phuket's Patong Beach...

Stephen: Pikky, why isn't there any mu~~~ (pork) burger in Patong Beach's McDonalds? My friends told me to try the mu~~~ burger. My friend even tried one in the McDonalds in Chiang Mai's Night Bazaar.
Pikky: Got moo~~~ burger there. You did not ask properly?

Stephen: No..I asked the girl at the counter a few times. Do you have pork burger? Mu~~~ burger!! And she just kept shaking her head saying no.

Pikky: Cannot be. Can you pronounce again? Say pork burger again in Thai.

Stephen: Mu~~~ Mu~~~

Pikky: NO!!! Its moo~~~, not mu~~~!!! Do you have any idea what is mu~~~???

Stephen: Of course I don't know!! Your reaction sounds bad and look bad. What on earth is mu~~~?

Pikky: Hahaha... no wonder the girl at the counter kept saying NO!! Mu~~~ is

Stephen: What?? Snake burger?!?! Damn! Eh..but I am very sure I look at the menu and there's no Pork Burger!!

Pikky: Hehe..ok ok, I will check and let you know again. Hahaha

Stephen: ........ =_="

Kin San Kichi Japanese Restaurant

Lately, I was really high on Japanese food. I just can't stop the craving. If I have a past-life, I think I am a Japanese Chef who always eat non-stop while preparing sushi or handroll for customers throughout the 4 seasons.

Chef Sutefupunu

Yesterday, Grace Chng, Sze Mei and I went to Desa Sri Hartamas for dinner. We went round and round to look for a parking and we realised that there are alot of Japanese and Korean restaurants around.

From where we parked our car, there are 3 Japanese restaurants available for us to choose from. After looking at the menus which are displayed outside the restaurant, we decided to give Kin San Kichi Japanese Restaurant a chance to impress our taste bud.

Eh, Grace! We forgot to take a picture inside the restaurant.

Fried Baby Crab (RM15.00) and Kani Karage Roll (Soft shell crab) (RM7.50)

Grace Chng's Kake Somen (RM15.00) and her Chawan Mushi (RM3.00)

I had Katsu Curry Rice (Pork Chop) as my main dish. Throughout the whole dinner, both of them scooped and scooped and scooped kept trying the curry from my plate. That shows how delicious the curry/gravy was. Anyway, its not spicy at all.

RM24.00

Sze Mei's Chicken Tepanyaki (RM16.00)

Thumbs up for this Kin San Kichi Japanese Restaurant. Worth trying.

Address : No: 16, Jalan 27/70A, Desa Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.

Kedai Ikan Talapia Lan Je

Two months ago, I was working in Rawang for around 3 weeks. During that 3 weeks, I am certainly quite sure that we had the best food in Rawang for lunch. For those who loves eating fish, you must come to Rawang's Kedai Ikan Talapia Lan Je / Lan Je Fei Chow Yu (in Cantonese).

In a duration of 3 weeks, I visited this place 3 or 4 times for lunch. During my first patronage to this small restaurant beside the main road, my ex-manager said that the "practise" here is that each person orders a fish for him/herself and true enough, almost everyone is "practising" that.

My steamed Talapia Fish

Vege

Sweet and Sour Chicken

This restaurant is famous because of the Talapia Fish so don't other specialities from their menu. Thanks to my ex-manager, she made this place of my favourite place for lunch/dinner!!

Kedai Ikan Talapia Lan Je is open everyday except Tuesday.
Opening hours:- (11.30am - 3.00pm) and (6.00pm - 10.30pm)
Address:- No.27-28, Block C, Jalan Rawang, Gerai MPS Bt.16, 48000 Rawang, Selangor.

Call 012-3397800 if you do not know the direction.

Christmas in Year 2007

Darn!! Christmas was 3 months ago! Anyways, for the past 3 years, I have been organising pot-luck Christmas party at my house because Christmas is not only about celebrating Jesus's birthday but also to share presents and food with your friends and family.

My new White Christmas tree

During year 2006, my talented friend, Hui Leng who is aspiring to be a famous chef-accountant made us all very delicious meals. No doubt, I asked her to repeat her wonderful feat again.

Hui Leng cooked all these with the help of the "Ham-Kas"

Spicy Sphagetti

Cynthia also contributed...she baked a mango cake.

Lastly, Grace Chng also baked a chocolate cake which I forgot to take a picture of it. Though its abit out of shape but at the end of the day, the chocolate cake is nowhere to be seen. The below picture is contributed by Grace Chng. Hehe~~

Can see the cake?

Election 2008

Time now is 4:19am and I am still awake because I am too excited due to the on-going results of the Malaysia's General Election 2008. Let me tell you why am I so excited:

PM: ‘We’ve lost, we’ve lost’ - 4.12am
These were the only words which Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi could muster when quizzed on the ruling coalition’s shocking defeat in five states.

Unofficial: BN denied two-thirds majority - 2.42am
According to unofficial tally, the opposition has apparently denied the ruling Barisan Nasional its crucial two-thirds majority by winning up to 82 parliament seats so far (PKR - 29, DAP - 28, PAS - 25). To deny the government two-thirds majority, the opposition must win 75 seats. On the other hand, BN has won about 130 seats. There are still a few more seats to be decided.

Unofficial: Opposition wins Selangor - 12.25am
Selangor has fallen into the hands of the opposition. PKR has earlier announced that its secretary-general Khalid Ibrahim will be named mentri besar. In Selangor, DAP has taken 35 seats (DAP - 15, PKR - 11 and PAS - 9) out of the 56 seats in the state. It is expected that DAP leader Teng Chang Khim could be picked as deputy mentri besar.

Unconfirmed: Samy is out - 9.43pm
Unofficial: MIC president S Samy Vellu has suffered a shock defeat at the hands of PSM’s Dr D Jeyakumar for the Sungai Siput parliamentary seat which he has held for nine terms. Jeyakumar polled 16,874 votes to Samy's 14,408. Today is Samy Vellu's 72nd birthday.

Those short news above are sources from
Malaysiakini and I have only highlighted a few out of my many reasons to be excited! I am proud that the big guns like Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng, Teresa Kok Tony Pua, Jeff Ooi and etc from DAP and other opposition leaders made BN eat their own words of winning 2/3 majority in parliament.

Even the PM also said, "We've lost! We've lost!". Samy Vellu finally got thrashed after defending the damn seat for 9 terms. Happy Birthday, Samy Samy.New candidate, Yeoh Tseow Suan contesting for the first time for Subang Jaya (N31) also won. Very happy for her. Besides that, Selangor has fell into the hands of the opposition. The next few years will be quite interesting as the PM can't afford to fall asleep during meetings again because we have more opposition leaders in the parliament now to wake him up and fight for the rakyat and also make life hard for those who have been enjoying sucking easy money.

I will now let the statistics tell you why am I so excited.

* As at 5:13am

I am just too excited.
